It wasb 6:00 pm. on Christmas Eve I was in the kitchen preparing the dogs dinner. My daughter was upstairs in her room, the dog was with her. My kitchen looks into the lounge area. I thought my daughter had come down and I turned to speak to her, but there wasn't anyone there. Thinking I was imagining things I carried on with the preparation. I walked over to the fridge and opened the door. I turned my head to look back into the lounge and saw a woman very slowly moving towards me, without seeming to walk. She had very dark brown straight hair, a blue round necked, long-sleeved jumper and black trousers. I wasn't sure who it was, although I hope it was my mum, as I couldn't make out her features. I panicked slightly and said 'thank you for coming, that's enough now". I often wondeer if it was my mum coming to make sure we were ok, or just to say hello. I regret the missed opportunity to speak to her. I have never seen a spirit before, but hope this wasn't a one off visit.
